As a pastor-teacher, PaSTOR D's goal in teaching the Basics is to help students build a solid foundation on Bible understanding, grow in the Christian faith, and lead them into a more intimate relationship with God through The Word. My prayer is that this training is used by God to encourage students to study with renewed enthusiasm and diligence the written Word, through which alone we can come to know the Living Word, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ministers Busy Schedule!
Y our schedule and agenda as a minister can be exceedingly busy and congested. It’s very difficult for a busy minister to get settle down enough to prepare weekly sermon outlines & Bible study info. This can easily turn into a habit of throwing making
last-minute sermon bytes, merged with a bit of Sunday charisma, congregational feedback,
and a climaxing "HOOP". WOW! You’ve made it through another Sunday. Potentially, this often becomes an almost weekly routine of making weekend-based sermon notes.
But be aware! Preaching and writing skills are two very different skills to master. Writing skill is typically developed by people who write frequently, thus making them more communication and grammar conscious. Frankly, how much time have you invested into writing knowledge? Admittedly, we all could use more writing skills. The value of this can truly be appreciated after attending a season of these classes.
Maybe your maturity in the ministry has already made you secure with compiling sermon outlines. BRAVO for you! Keep up the good work.
My years in the ministry has brought me to an expected conclusion that it is a common practice for ministers to over-write their sermons or use loosely organized scratch notes. Some ministers even feel sermon notes are unnecessary. Yet “Truth is Truth” whether written or spoken
